Interstella – Space Disco Party Details:
“Blogger Dani Austin and her husband Jordan knew they wanted to do something out of this world for their daughter, Stella, on her first birthday. So when the couple reached out to Lindsi from The Collective Creative Company to help plan the celebration, she knew it had to be an event unlike anything this galaxy has seen before. From there, the “InterStella” theme was born, and this amazing team of vendors reached for the stars to transform the Austins’ space into a whimsical galactic disco. The icing on the cake? Dani would be celebrating her birthday as well, so not only did the extravaganza need to be twice as amazing, it needed to be extra special for adults and little ones alike! You’ll be over the moon when you see these photos by Isabella Alex Photo- keep scrolling for all the stellar details!
Styling:
When it came to the planning and styling for the party, the Collective Creative Company nailed every aspect of the retro-futuristic vibe with a mix of vintage and ultra-modern elements, while the pastel and jewel-toned color palette kept the space theme bright and feminine. Showstopping Balloon Therapy installations featuring disco balls, atomic shapes, marbled planets, and alien motifs made a supernova statement, while dramatic marquee letters from Alpha Lit Dallas were almost big and bright enough to be seen from outer space! The stunning pastel floral arches and arrangements from Something Pretty Floral looked as if they were transported from another galaxy, and even included tiny disco ball details as a finishing touch. The Styled Affair’s dramatic arched Backdrops displayed the balloons and florals for a killer photo opportunity, courtesy of The Social Production’s futuristic photobooth. Perch Event Decor’s plush, jewel-toned furniture with luxe metallic details elevated the entire space, and the disco balls casually sprinkled throughout the space brought another fun element into the styling.
Details:
So much detail went into capturing the space theme, including the planetary pastel hand-lettered signs from Paper Lane Design and the iridescent laser cut goods by Kulgra. Wink and Ink Paperie nailed the girly galactic vibe with their movie poster-inspired invites starring adorable little Stella in a spacesuit. The tables were set with fun partyware from Love of Character, including metallic star and disco ball tumblers and cosmic patterned plates and napkins. A sprinkle of shimmering galactic confetti from Studio Pep and handmade pastel garlands from Pearl and Jane added even more whimsy to the tablescape.
Food:
Even extraterrestrials need to eat, and luckily The Rustic Board’s crowd-pleasing charcuterie was big enough to feed an entire planet! The extravagant dessert table display featured adorable alien macaroons by Boy Mama Bakes, while dessert stands overflowed with planetary cake pops, pastel treats, and the most amazing space-themed cake in the universe, all thanks to Baked By Laynie.
After Party:
After the tiny partygoers departed and we said sweet dreams to Stella, it was Dani’s time to shine! The dress code changed from spacesuit casual to sci-fi chic, with holographic party dresses, stardust-inspired hair and makeup, and custom bracelets from CRB Stacks. The Herb and Alchemy bar served up Meteorite Margaritas, Cosmic Mules, and Stella beer from a mirrored UFO bar while the adults danced to a silent space disco under neon laser lights thanks to Silence Activations, who also provided breakdancers for entertaining the guests!
